Mission

The mission of the Eastern KY Healthcare Preparedness MRC Unit is to improve the health and safety of East Kentucky by organizing and training volunteers to assist in a public health emergency and provide surge capacity to address public health challenges.

Vision

The goal of the Eastern KY Healthcare Preparedness MRC Unit is to create a community public health and medical volunteer resource that will be pre-credentialed, pre-registered and prepared to respond to a public health emergency primarily by staffing Points of Dispensing (PODs), provide medical surge to the community and supplement public health staff by supporting public health initiatives.
